DNA evidence is becoming more and more prevalent in
criminal proceedings. Social demand for better scientific
evidence is changing legislation, creating an enormous backlog
of cases. Suspects and convicted criminals want testing by an
unbiased lab to prove their innocence. Law enforcement
sometimes needs cases handled quickly, which is often
impossible for overburdened government crime labs. DNA testing
is commonly used in family-based immigration cases in which a
legal permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen wishes to sponsor
their relatives for admission into the United States. In order
to do so, the sponsor and their relative must provide proof of
their relationship. Since DNA testing is the most accurate
method to prove a biological relationship, many immigration
attorneys and U.S. embassies now commonly use DNA testing for
immigration purposes.

The lab will extract DNA sample from a suspected stain such as one of the ones
listed to the left to detemine the DNA profile. This test will show if there is

This test compares the unknown DNA found in the extraction test to the left to
an evidence sample provided by the client. Normally the client will supply a
piece of gum, cigarette, toothbrush or a cheek swab from the person suspected of
being the DNA donor.
